99bc7 1 second everyday 3 300x168 1 Second Everyday ReviewWhat started as a Kickstarter project has turned into reality for Cesar Kuriyama. His app 1 Second Everyday landed enough backers and now sits proudly in the App Store. What makes it so special? Well 1 Second Everyday is a unique video app designed to help users remember their lives by compiling 1 second snippets from videos currently in the Camera Roll. Essentially, users could relive all the youth of their 20s in just 6 short minutes.

Users are presented with a calendar to help them get started. The app immediately accesses stored videos, which are indicated by orange days. Simply pick a one-second snippet and then tap on the compile button to mash the seconds into a 1SE video. The range of time is completely up to users as it is quite possible to capture a month, year or any range of time by choosing custom date sets.

When users pick their second, the video can then be removed from the Camera Roll because 1 Second Everyday saves it to the app itself and to iCloud. After the video is created, it can then be saved to the app’s reels or the iPhone’s Camera Roll and then shared with friends via Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube or SMS.

Since my movie was pretty short, I realized that I should start recording more videos. Users who plan to start recording their lives can set the app up to remind them to take a video clip everyday. It’s even possible to create multiple projects at one time.

Since the app was just launched, it still has a few bugs that need polished. A recent update has fixed some stability and functionality issues, but there are some features that could make it better like the ability to access DropBox and a way to increase the time of clips. I’m excited to see what’s in store for the future.

1 Second Everyday is a fun way to treasure those special moments. It’s kind of like Project 365 for still images but with video instead. It has an impressive and well-designed interface and it’s clear that the developer is listening to user feedback as bugs were addressed in a matter of days. It’s hard to believe that it includes all these features for $ 0.99, which is why it’s easily recommendable. Pick up a copy today and never forget another day again.
