impedance and resistance are the same thing it is just in a.c fucking idiot you know nothing if you put a positive into a negative terminal then it would not even work you “d’bag”.. when did i every say i know anything about car audio..i just know that it is measured in amps not fucking ohms .. ohms is the opposite to amps which i assume you don’t know .. Christ you don’t know anything . it would overload if you actually had a pd which it doesn’t because it is not connected to the consumer unit

You’re being a d’bag again. You don’t know shit about car audio. If Halfords is a car audio shop you should go pick up a pamphlet or two and learn something. It does matter which wire is + or -. If you wire them incorrectly it will be out of phase. Let me dumb that down for ya… it will sound like shit! For speakers, we are talking about impedance not resistance and it does matter if the new ones match. You could burn up a hu or amp by putting a load that is too low for that hu or amp.

  16. kcox669live says:

It all depends on what you are powering the speakers with. If you are putting a set of speakers, with a lower ohms rating, you need to find out if the powering unit, amp or head unit, is ok with that ohm’s load. Otherwise you will burn up your amp or head unit. Btw, you asked a good question, not sure what was up with that d bag.

bro do it the way i did. when you take the old one off look at which wire was on the left of that speaker, then put that on the left of the new one, worked for me for all four speakers. TRY IT :)

just cut the wires right at the adapter and then use twist nuts, sodder, or electrical tape to connect the need slip on female receivers to put onto the speaker. all after market speakers are neg large pos small

no sir you cant i tried this as well. home speakers run on 8 ohms while car speakers run on 2 – 4 ohms. the time i tried this you DO get sound….. but it sounds like you took a time machine back to the 30′s. just not enough power to make those speakers sound as good as they do in a house. HOPE THIS HELPED

black could be either negative or positive it makes no difference…
the black wire is a line/live wire and a negative it is not a earth though that’s the only wire it isn’t .. this is coming from a electrician ..(Domestic electrician) .. i know a little about cars but car electrics are allot different to domestics and commercialization but if i were you i would just take it to Halfords or something..
