EXPAND FOR MORE INFORMATION — Note that this video should be 17 minutes long and it is normal that the video stops playing after 17 minutes have elapsed. This is part 1 of a 2 part review of the Samsung NP-NC110-A01CA netbook. The netbook features the following: CPU: Intel*R ATOM Processor N455 LCD: 10.1 ” WSVGA (Non-Gloss, Slim) VRAM: Shared MEMORY: 1 GB HDD: 250 GB WIRED: 100M LAN COMMUNIC: 802.11 bgn + BT3.0HS The netbook also came shipped with Windows 7 Starter Edition (32 bit) but thanks to the kind folks at Samsung making Windows XP drivers available for this netbook on their support portal, I am running Windows XP 32 bit on it. @cleaalex918 I should add a note to the video regarding the AC adaptor lead: turns out when pushing it firmly into the socket, it snaps in so that it doesn’t fall out as easy (I was too gentle with it when I first got it) but the straight out power lead is less convenient than an angled one. I myself have a HP Mini 110 and an Acer Aspire One. The Acer Aspire One developed WiFi network card overheating problems under a year in. The HP Mini 110 is still going strong though.

You must have got a lemon, I have this same model and it’s pretty decent with speed and I’ve had no problems with the ac adapter falling out. I’ve had 3 other betbooks before a hp mini 110 a Samsung nf210 and an acer aspire one and the nc110 was probably the fastest, pretty much identical to the nf210 but with better speakers

@MEMOBURN Just tested it live to confirm, and yep, the touchpad on the Samsung NP-NC110-A01CA is in fact multi-touch. I expanded an image with a separation of my index finger and thumb followed by contracting it by performing a pinching motion with these same two fingers.

@pyaarmilgayya Well, aside from probably a longer battery life and a slightly larger hard drive, is there really any benefit to upgrading? I wouldn’t think so. Perhaps only if the battery on your current NetBook can’t hold a charge for your battery-powered needs would I buy a new one.

    Hope it helps
