Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Review! Does this rocket take off? Who would have thought that, just a month after the Samsung Galaxy S II hit AT&T, we’d see its younger brother come to the very same carrier? Seemingly out of nowhere, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket came strolling into town, touting a1.5GHz dual-core processor, larger display and true 4G LTE. We’re not ashamed to admit that, after having spent extensive hands-on time with AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S II early last month, it easily ranks as one of our favorite Android smartphones on the market. The device has a beautiful screen, thin frame and offers a top notch Android experience. So does the Galaxy S II Skyrocket bring enough to the table to warrant a place in Samsung’s growing Galaxy S family? Of course, we cover all the relevant bullet points for those considering the Skyrocket. One big thing to keep in mind is that the device will be Ice Cream Sandwich ready, although no release timeframe has been nailed down as of yet. The device is available now on AT&T for 9.99 with two-year contract. that background ugly as fuck!

@ImJustaGuy94
Hate to break it to you, but this is similar for many Android phones. Bottom line, it uses “real” background processes. When I had my EVO, there was simply no way I could leave my phone unplugged, go to sleep and expect it to have any charge in the morning. My iPhone? I lose less than 10%.
With my EVO, I got the extended battery which helped big time. I’d make it only poll for email once an hour after midnight. No twitter updates and crap like that and you should be fine.

@dmckoy91
Fun fact, my 0.2 mp camera takes just as good as my old old 2004 10mp camera.
btw i was talking about 5-8 mp. You can barely see a difference between them. Yet Nexus still contains a better camera because of the extra features. (I have both s2sky and nexus)

@superssj2
I’d say g2 skyrocket. better battery, dualcore vs singlle core, super almod+ >LCD (IMO) Android has more features, but wp7 isn’t half bad. HTC has a bigger screen by .2 inch.
This is all my opninion.

@SocaTrain
no. They gave u a new sim card because it is compatible with LTE. Blackberry isn’t. Also, the sim cards are different.
