Your video is a great help and I will keep in it the favorites, but this fix does not have symptom of “popping” or a steady white logo while the tv does not turn on. The logo in this fix flashes, and “popping” might or might not occur. Thanks man, great vid.

Easy fix, watch my video, you need to replace or bypass the fuse that is located in the 3rd position on the motherboard that Leeds from the logic board, it’s the starter fuse that turns it on

I do not think there is a reset button on any tv I have worked with. There might be a reset function in the settings. The only thing close I have worked with is the destatic button on the old school computer monitors. Have you followed the steps in the video?

I have a Visio E322VL… my TV started blinking a few days after the warranty was up. I think they are set to remotely go off. Do you know if this model has a reset button?

mine would blink orange/white and shut off randomly. purchased new in December, starting doing this about 2 months ago. i removed it from my wifi and i don’t have an ethernet cable plugged in, so it can’t access the internet. I don’t use the widgets. Usually the tv would shut off everyday, about every half hour. since removing the wifi/internet, it hasn’t done this. I don’t use the widgets to begin with.

Samsung is a great product as well. They have a very tight knit manufacturing process in South Korea which I have a great deal of respect for. I choose LG for personal reasons. I have always believe in helping people, my mother and grandfather taught me that.

Yup LG is a great product, I would get an LG, or maybe even Samsung, we got 1 for the kids and it is fantastic. It’s nice that you made a video to help people out, because it is very frustrating to have a problem 1 or 2 days after warranty runs out – especially since their customer service is so crappy.

    GL finding fixes. :)

I am planning on doing a sound troubleshooting video in the near future, I’ll let you know when I do, it can be a pain in the ass. If I spend the extra money it is going to be on LG, for sure, no questions asked. I always get LG phones, and I know their manufacturing is superb.

Yeah, we have 2 Vizio wifi/blu-ray players, both have horrible signals, and a 32″ TV that has sound issues, signal loss from both cable, and dvd/BRD. They will be replaced soon, I think it’s worth the extra 75-100 bucks to go with a company that isn’t impossible to work with, and doesn’t use crap parts. I’ve spent at least that buying new cables, thinking that was the issue – even a new wireless router.

I wouldn’t say all of that, I have this one, another LCD 46″, and a 27″ monitor for the computer. I like them, the LCD has black spots, which I think i can fix. The monitor turn on, the off real quick, but I’m thinking that is a capacitor or something. So I guess they have their issues, but they are cheap.

Is it just me, or does everyone hear a toilet flush when people talk about Vizio?

I was so agitated when it first happened to me. I had a super long day, was laying down in bed, about to watch an episode of frasier, drink a glass of milk, and pass out, but no, the tv doesn’t turn on……. I feel your pain.

without it in front of me I cannot say for sure, but I’d put my money on the power board. There are plenty of videos on youtube how to change it out. Just make sure your model is applicable to the video.

I left it on about 3 days cause I was afraid 2 turn it off,and when I came home today it was off, so I tried turning it on and the VIZIO logo went dark. Now its getting no power at all. I even tried using a diff power cord. It was on a power strip. I tried using a different outlet also, even moving it to a different room. I dont know much about electronics but something went bad. Its about 6yrs old. I am hoping there is an easy fix, but knowing my luck, there isnt.

and if it is not on a power strip, try one.

  24. Leonard Smith says:

make sure the power cord is plugged all the way in. Try only having the tv plugged into the outlet, i.e. if it is using a power strip, unplug everything from the power strip. Also if it is using a power strip, try a different power strip, or at least try a different plug. Sometimes components of the power strips go bad and the plugs closer to the cable are the ones which work the longest….keep me posted.

I have a 32″VizioLCDHDTV. Normally it would take about 15sec b4 the screen would display. Now when I hit the power button, the orange ‘VIZIO’ indicator light would turn white, but then turn orange again. W/O hitting the power button again it would turn white, then orange, then white, then orange. Each time making clicking sound like it usually did when it was powering up. It would work fine after it had warmed up. This continued getting worse&worse, so I quit turning it off. Now it has no power.
